Serp laughed coldly again,and as his jaws opened,you could see the dark-ebony evil had leaked into his snowy fangs.He rammed Zephyr into the cavern walls and gushed a stream of connected black flares."By the time you're finished with him and me,it will be far too late to close it,and you will have become a recruit of corruption as well,"Serp said aloud,obviously showing he was no longer on their side.

Zephyr gritted his teeth, producing a rough grinding noise. He clenched his fists, trying to roll in with the punches. Pain seared through his entire body, making him wonder if he was in two pieces. His fur was caked a brownish red, not that it mattered, the darkness so overwhelming.
Breathing heavily, Zephyr slowly, regained his stance, and tried to tune into the air vibrations to locate Serp. Before he could attack, a strong dark aura whizzed by his face. Shocked and trembling, he was thankful that the gazid didn't run through him.
Zephyr decided to try a different tactic. He tucked his wings to his body, noting that the left one was spewing blood toward the elbow. Using a quick spell, he sped past Serp, and weaved perilously close to the gazids.
Knowing Serp would be on his tail, he fashioned a wall of carbon dioxide, preventing any fire from following as he neared the rift.

Serp hissed in anger,and then tore the thin air,creating a portal,while hastily entering it.He appeared in front of Zephyr and slashed his throat,blood dripping from his claws.The rift swirled in back of him,but he wasn't taking notice.He emitted a loud roar,sending stalactites,clashing to the floor.Colossal stalactites that had probably been there for over a thousand years,shattered from the roof,and fell to the ground below.'I can kill without fire you know,"Serp said coldly,an evil grin shining.

Zephyr winced, and quickly braced himself to perform makeshift spell. He dodged a stalactite that would've sliced him in two.
"But can you kill me without air?" Zephyr managed a pained smile as he banished all air from the cavern, sealing the entrance with a wall of dry ice.
The auras of darkness were intense near the rift. Zephyr realized he couldn't do much without air in the cavern, but in a vaccum, there was no friction, and he sped almost twice as fast past Serp, still trying to get by with only one usable arm.

Omni's eyelid fluttered, and he quickly realized the air had deserted the chamber. The Darkness was still there, but he felt some of his old Air instincts arise. Using the little air that was left, Omni used the old breathing tecnique that only an Air dragon would know. Slowly, the unreasoning was beginning to recede, but the darkness was still there, and fighting was almost futile. As minutes passed, instinct told him an air spell.
Regainning his air side was slowly revealing, but the darkness was impossible to fight in the dark cavern.

Serp scowled in anger and then vanished through a portal,where the air was small,but enough.Serp leaped out to slash Zephyr again...and...an ice shard stabbed him through the throat,his body falling to the ground,and then numerous blood spurts flowed freely.Zairn walked out from behind the cave walls,then walked up to Serp,making sure he was alive still.A slow,steady heartbeat pulsed from him,but he was alive."Shut the portal,"he said,and then a thin sheath of ice slipped out of his claws,then he aimed it at Serp,who was still unconcious and couldn't do a thing.

Zephyr furrowed his brow, confused by the swift change in events. Quickly, he summed up his position, and decided to restore the air enough. The dry ice barrier evaporated into cold air, and Zephyr breathed as cool air rushed in. With a quick motion, he fashioned a makeshift gust to warningly shift the shard's path. With another rough flick of his wrist, he closed the rift.
"What business have you here?" Although small, Zephyr's agile furred body stood up to Zairn. The aura of darkness emitting from him was almost as bad as Serp's, making him feel slightly uneasy.
With another quick flick, he tried to send oxygen over to Serp, not knowing if it would do any good, considering his position.

Omni smiled as the air was restored and the rift closed. However, he found the darkness take over again, and he clenched his teeth. Strength was restored, like he had never felt it before. Omni feebly stood straight, and hauled himself up.

"What business do YOU have here is the real question,"Zairn replied,and stuck a shard of ice against Serp's throat.He sent a column of ice trailing to the cave roof,and then watched it topple over,segments of ice clashing against the floor.Zairn smiled,but not a happy smile.More like a " Your trapped and I can't help you" sort of smile.

Zephyr cherished his speed, as it made up for his lack of strength. He zoomed past Zairn, taking the shard as he went.
Tossing it from one hand to the other he couldn't keep the steel out of his voice, "To keep any of the likes of you from destroying my family and soon to be friends."

"Are you crazy?!He's going to kill you,"he rpoared,until Serp's bloody eyes opened,and he pushed Zairn into the cave wall,and then released a huge black flare from his jaws.Zairn winced as the fire burned at him,gnawing away at his strength,while dust blinded his sight.Serp rammed him again,until blood seeped from the hole where Zairn lay moaning."Now stay there!,"Serp snapped,walking forward toward Zephyr.

Zephyr didn't bat an eyelid, still tossing the shard, staring blankly into the darkness, not fully aware of what was going on. He tilted his head slightly as he felt the air change quickly, surely Serp. Yet another dark being was not far behind him. Zephyr closed his eyes, no difference made, as the darkness was impenetrable, and solemnly wished he wouldn't have to knock out his silent predator.

Omni grinned on the outside, yet was unsure on the outside. Zephyr faced away from him, seemingly oblivious. He poised his hand in the air, an orb of darkness forming.

"Ah,you dont get it do you?,"Serp asked coldly.He showed off his shoulder blade,where the gazid had first slashed open.Now,the blood was black,pure darkness emanating from each drop.Serp didn't look the same,his claws that had been snowy white were jet-black.His eyes were deep malevolent red,and the spikes on his spine and tail,were now crimson,as if stained by blood."I'm not your friend anymore,"he spoke words that would stab like needles.Zairn weakly stood up,but could not summon a shard of ice to defend,and ramming would kill him,so he watched hopelessly.
"I can't do anything,"Zairn muttered.
Serp turned to face him again."Am I going to have to inject this corrupted venom into you as well?,"he asked,fangs glazed by a lime colored sort of venom.

Zephyr was lost in thought, still guessing at what to do. Suddenly, a low grunt gave away his ambusher. In a blur, he ducked, feeling the dark energy zoom inches over his head and toward Zairn.
"Dang you!" He roared, facing Omni.
He turned his back to Serp, something that felt a little uncomfortable, and using dry ice, locked Omni in a vacuum. He watched him writh, trying to break the barrier, but within seconds, his size was too much, and he collapsed.
Zephyr turned back to Serp, his temper already snapping, "I've really had enough of you."

Serp hissed,and then struck Zairn once more,plwoing into the floor,fragments of aged rock flew about.He then walked over to Zairn's paralyzed body,and then bit down on his neck,tension building up,but the venom was seeping into Zairn's bloodstream."Now stay there,"he muttered and then struck Zephyr head on with his claws,then darting past him,and stopping.Fire erupted from his maw,blazing out in a lively strike against Zephyr.

Zephyr quickly froze the air against the fire, and propelled the water toward Serp before it could touch the floor. He had healed his arm enough to be able to fly without his one wing, and he flew among the ceiling. With a spin, he began the start of a tornado.
